WEBSITE STATISTICS - WHERE AND WHAT?
Retrix Hosting provides statistics for your website using Webalizer.
To view your website statistics, go to /stats/ of your website. For example, if your website was www.krunk.ca, you would go to http://www.krunk.ca/stats/.
About the stats:
kbytes: The number of kilobytes transferred.
Visits: A visit is defined by a series of page views within a half-hour period. So, if I browse 10 pages of your site within half an hour, that would be considered 1 visit.
Pages: The number of pages viewed.
Hits: Any time a browser requests a file, a “hit” is registered. If a person goes to a page with three images on it, there will be 4 hits (1 for the page, 3 for the images)
Files: This is almost the same as a “hit”, but a “file” is only registered if the file was actually transferred. In the above example, if there is a broken image, 4 hits will be registered, but only 3 files.
Visits and Pages are the two most useful stats to look at. For a much more comprehensive report on the visits to your site, we recommend you look at Google Analytics. It’s free, and just requires you paste some code into the pages of your site.
